titleOfInvention Production of microporous product by wet process
abstract PURPOSE: To rapidly produce a microporous product at relatively low temperatures, by coating a substrate with a composition comprising a polymer solution and a solution of a polymeric hydrophilic material (dispersion) and thereafter treating the coated substrate with an inert liquid. n CONSTITUTION: The microporous product is obtained by preparing a composition by mixing (I) a polymer solution obtained by dissolving a polymer resin component such as a polyester type polymer or a polyurethane type polymer in a solvent such as N,N-dimethylformamide with (II) a polymeric hydrophilic material (such as modified fluorine-containing resin) solution (or aqueous slution); coating a substrate with the composition; immersing the coated substrate in an inert liquid which is miscible with the solvent for the polymer resin component, but which is a nonsolvent for the resin component, such as water or alcohol, thereby treating the coated layer with the solvent; and drying the treated substrate. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
