PURPOSE: To measure correctly amylase activity in a sample without the influence of the impurities of the sample, by using a maltooligosaccharide wherein a halogenated phenyl group is bonded to the reductive terminals and α- and β-glucosidases as a reagent. n CONSTITUTION: A sample is treated with a compound wherein a halogenated phenol, e.g., p-chlorophenol, o-chlorophenol, etc. is bonded to the reductive terminals of maltooligosaccharide, e.g., maltotetraose, maltopentaose, etc. to which about 2W10 glucoses are linked. The sample is then reacted with α-glycosidase and β- glucosidase to liberate a halogenated phenol, which is determined so that amylase activity in the sample is measured. The sample may be treated with the glucosidases and amylase simultaneously. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio |
