abstract | PURPOSE: To provide a long-acting herbicide effective even to perennial weeds, and containing a benzophenone compound and N-(O,O-dipropyl-dithiophosphorylacetyl)-2-methylpiperidine, etc. as effective components. n CONSTITUTION: A herbicide containing as effective components, a compound of formula [X is halogen; m is an integer of 2-4; Y is halogen or alkyl; n is an integer of 0W5; Z is H, alkali(ne earth) metal, or-CO-R (R is lower alkyl)], and N-(O,O- dipropyl-dithiophosphorylacetyl)-2-methylpiperidine, 2-chloro-2',6'-diethyl-N- cpropoxyethyl)acetanilide, etc. The herbicide is highly effective even to perennial weeds, and completely harmless to rice plant. As it has sustained activity, it is sufficient to apply to the rice field only once, 3W7 days after transplantation.
