titleOfInvention Preparation of modified unsaturated polyester resin
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a modified unsaturated polyester useful for filling a stabilizer, etc., capable of providing a cured resin having flexibility, small shrinkage in curing, improved electrical properties, by modifying an unsaturated polyester resin with both an aromatic hydrocarbon resin and a fatty acid of vegetable oil. n CONSTITUTION: (A) 5W30wt% unsaturated polyester resin (preferably an unsaturated polyester having an acid value 20W50, prepared by reacting an acid component consisting of 10W100mol% unsaturated polybasic acid and ≤90mol% saturated polybasic acid with a polyhydric alcohol) is reacted with (B) 40W90wt% aromatic hydrocarbon resin (preferably, xylene-formaldehyde resin, or mesitylene- formaldehyde resin) and (C) 5W30wt% fatty acid of vegetable oil (preferably a fatty acid obtained by hydrolyzing a vegetable oil having a saponification value 160W210) preferably at 180W220°C. n EFFECT: Having improved adhesiveness to metals. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
