titleOfInvention Omega-halo-1-bromoalkyne compound
abstract NEW MATERIAL:An ω-halo-1-bromoalkyne compound expressed by formula I (X is halogen; n is 4, 5 or 6). n EXAMPLE: 1,8-Dibromo-1-octyne. n USE: A synthetic intermediate for a variety of sex pheromone substances, e.g. cis,cis- 7,11-hexadecadienylacetate which is a sex pheromone of pink bollworms, etc. n PROCESS: Br 2 is reacted with aqueous KOH to form potassium hypobromite, to whose aqueous solution an ω-halo-1-alkyne compound expressed by formula III is added and reacted at 10W20°C to give a compound expressed by formula I in purity as high as 80W95%. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
