titleOfInvention Preparation of antigen
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the antigen of somatostatin or bradykinin capable of producing the antibody with a high degree of sensitivity, by combining a specified substance as a carrier with a hapten. n CONSTITUTION: The antigen of somatostatin or bradykinin consisting of a hapten- carrier compound is obtained by using as the carrier an Ascaris extract which is a substance obtained by extracting the finely cut body of Ascaris suum according to the conventional protein extraction method and is combined with a hapten, e.g. natural or chemically modified somatostatin or bradykinin, with the aid of a well- known hapten-carrier combining reagent to form the antigen. The antigen administered to a mammalian body results in the highly sensitive and exact production of the antibody. Its use in the analysis of samples permits the accurate assay of the somatostatin or bradykinin, which is therefore useful in the precise diagnosis of diseases. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
