abstract | NEW MATERIAL:25-Hydroxy-24-oxocholecalciferol of the formula. n USE: A medicine having a physiological activity like that of vitamin D. n PROCESS: 25-Hydroxyvitamin D 3 is incubated in a homogenate of a kidney obtained from a chicken of a domestic fowl to which vitamin D 3 is administered, and the resultant homogenate is subjected to a means, e.g. chromatography, to give the titled compound of the formula. 25-Hydroxyvitamin D 3 contains 1μg [26, 27- 3 H]- 25-hydroxyvitamin D 3 . The incubation is carried out in the gaseous phase of oxygen at 37°C for 30min, and the chromatography is the high speed liquid chromatography, e.g. Waters model 204 (manufactured by Waters Associates, Inc.).The compound of the formula is separated from the 25-hydroxyvitamin D 3 . n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio |
