titleOfInvention Styrene resin composition
abstract PURPOSE: To provide a styrene resin compsn. which has excellent mold release characteristics and can form a molded article having good color shade with good productivity when said compsn. is used in injection molding, by blending specified amounts of a higher fatty acid and an aliph. higher alcohol in combination. n CONSTITUTION: A mixt. of a 10W30C higher fatty acid (A) (e.g. stearic acid) and a 10W30C aliph. higher alcohol (B) (e.g. stearyl alcohol) in a weight ratio of 1:0.3W10, is used as a parting agent. 0.06W0.4pts.wt. above mixt. (the parting agent) is blended with 100pts.wt. styrene resin to obtain the desired styrene resin compsn. for injection molding. When a resin contg. little rubber component blended therewith (namely, a substantially clear resin) is used as said styrene resin, the effect on the improvement of mold release characteristics is particularly remarkable. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
