titleOfInvention Preparation of cyanurate group-containing (meth acrylate)
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the titled compound useful as a photosensitive resin, having no active chlorine atom, by reacting a hydroxyl-containing (meth)acrylate with cyanuric chloride using first an inorganic strong base as a deoxidizer, and then an aliphatic tertiary monoamine. n CONSTITUTION: In reacting cyanuric chloride shown by the formula I with a hydroxyl group-containing (meth)acrylate shown by the formula II (R is H or methyl; R 1 is alkylene), an inorganic base (e.g., Na 2 CO 3 ) as a deoxidizer is used first so that the reaction undergoes to some stage wherein cyanuric chloride is not completely converted into a triester derivative shown by the formula III (R" is a group shown by the formula V) and a certain extent of a diester derivative shown by the formula IV remains. An aliphatic tertiary monoamine shown by the formula VI (R 2 WR 4 are alkyl, etc.) is added to the reaction system and the reaction is continued to give the titled compound having ≤1.5wt% chlorine atom of acid chloride of cyanuric chloride and ≤0.3 unit of cyanuric amide structure. n USE: Laminate, printing material, adhesive, coating compound, ink, etc. provided with wear resistance, solvent resistance, etc. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
