| abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain a carbon black composition for coloring, being able to have a high carbon black content to be milled at a low temperature and adjusted in a short time, and also being cheap, by mixing and milling carbon black and petroleum resin. n CONSTITUTION: A composition, comprising 100pts.wt. carbon black (A), petroleum resin (B) in an amount more than that (by weight) corresponding to the oil absorption (DBP) of the carbon black and, if necessary, other thermoplastic resin (C), and containing more than 10wt% carbon black based on the total composition. When other thermoplastic resin C is, as carrier for masterbatch, added to petroleum resin depending upon the purpose and use of molded articles, the concentration of carbon black can be changed and selected suitably in accordance with the kind and blending ratio of the thermoplastic resin C, but the resin C must be blended in such an amount that the compatibility with molded articles, dispersing properties and melt viscosity of the composition are not much damaged. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio |
