abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain a polyolefin resin foam having a smooth surface layer without foam collapse, good appearance and improved elasticity, by adding a mixed monomer containing a specific triazine to the polyolefinic resin, and foaming the resultant mixture. n CONSTITUTION: A polyolefin resin is mixed with a blowing agent, and 1,3,5-triacryloylhexahydro-s-triazine as one component and a monomer selected from triallyl cyanurate, N,N'-methylenebisacrylamide, trially trimellitate and triallyl isocyanurate as the other component to introduce the crosslinked structure into the resin or heated while introducing the crosslinked structure thereinto to give a foam. Polyethylene prepared by the medium pressure method is particulary effective for the polyolefinic resin. Preferably, 100pts.wt. resin is incorporated with 0.05W0.5pt.wt. triazine and 0.05W1pt.wt. other monomers. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio |
