titleOfInvention Preparation of l-glutamic acid by fermentation
abstract PURPOSE: To prepare L-glutamic acid, by culturing a mutant belonging to a specific genus resistant to 2-heptyl-4-hydroxyquinoline-N-oxide and capable of producing L-glutamic acid. n CONSTITUTION: A mutant belonging to Brevibacterium genus or Corynebacterium genus, resistant to 2-heptyl-4-hydroxyquinoline-N-oxide, and capable of producing L-glutamic acid, e.g. Brevibacterium lactofermentum AF 11563 (FERM-P No. 5471), Brevibacterium flavum AJ 11564 (FERM-P No. 5472), Corynebacterium glutamicum AJ 11565 (FERM-P No. 5473), etc., is cultured by conventional process, and L-glutamic acid produced and accumulated in the culturing liquid is separated therefrom. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
