abstract PURPOSE: To prevent a dyestuff from discoloring with time and to enhance color development, by adding a specified composition to an anthraquinone and/or carotenoid dyestuff. n CONSTITUTION: 10W50pts.wt. anthraquinone dyestuff (e.g., carminic acid) and/or carotenoid dyestuff (e.g., β-carotene) are compounded with 90W50pts.wt. composition consisting of 10W45wt% sodium tartrate, 2W25wt% alum and 2W25wt% sodium carbonate.
