abstract | PURPOSE:To improve hardening efficiency of UV printing ink, by feeding a peculiar amount of mercury, iron iodide and tin iodide together with starting rare gas into a luminous tube to make output balance better in each wavelength region of spectral sensitivity. CONSTITUTION:More than 1.3mg mercury per cm<2> of the internal capacity is sealed into a luminous tube 1 equipped with electrode 2, 2 together with starting rare gas. Then, both 0.007-0.024mg iron iodide per cm<2> and tin iodide containing tin at an atom ratio, less than 1/25 to the iron contained in the iron iodide are also sealed in the same tube. Accordingly, output balance in each wavelength region of spectral sensitivity, which has an influence on hardening, is greatly improved, and good hardening efficiency for all kinds of UV printing ink can be attained. |
