titleOfInvention | Phosphor for low-speed electron beam |
abstract | PURPOSE: To provide tin oxide-europium phosphor which emits light by a low-speed electron beam irradiation and in which life characteristics are improved, by incor- porating specified amounts of europium and thorium into tin oxide. n CONSTITUTION: Thorium is substituted for 0.1W5atom% of tin in a tin oxide- europium phosphor (having a europium content of 0.05W10atom%). An aq. contg. stannous chloride and required amounts of thorium nitrate and europium chloride, is added dropwise to an aq. soln. contg. ammonium oxalate in an amount of 1.2 equivalents of tin with stirring at 70°C. Then the resulting co-precipitated oxalate of tin, thorium and europium is thoroughly washed, dried, threated at 850°C in air for 3hr. to thermally decompse it, and then heat-treated at 1,350°C in air for 2hr., whereby thorium and europium are diffused in tin oxide to grow particle and to obtain the titled phosphor. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio |
