titleOfInvention | Hardening method for gelatin |
abstract | PURPOSE:To harden a gelatin film of a silver halide photographic material so as to be suited for quick photographic processing without impairing its photographic characteristics by using a specific compound which is obtained by partially hydrolyzing a dichloro-s-triazine deriv. CONSTITUTION:The dichloro-s-triazine deriv. expressed by the formula I (R is substituted or nonsubstituted phenyl, naphthyl), such as, for example, the formula II and the formula III, is partially hydrolyzed at about room temp.-50 deg.C by using about 2-4 equivalent times that of an aqueous alkali soln., whereby a hardener is prepd. Next, said hardener is added to gelatin and is caused to react, whereby the gelatin is hardened. In the casing of adding this into a coating soln. for forming the gelatin film, the amount of its addition is kept at about 5X10<-7>-2.5X10<-3> mole per g of dry gelatin weight. |
