titleOfInvention Triphosphazene derivative
abstract NEW MATERIAL:A triphosphazene derivative shown by the formula I (R is 8- quinolyl). n USE: An extracting agent for metallic ions, and a catalyst of condensation reaction for removing metallic salts. Since it has hetero atoms (N, O, P), it can transfer metallic ions dissolved in water to an organic solvent. An alkali metal, alkaline earth metal, etc. may be cited as the metallic ions. Useful as a catalyst for a reaction (reaction between benzyl chloride and potassium acetate, etc.) which is promoted by the removal of metallic ions. n PROCESS: Hexachlorotriphosphazene is reacted with a compound shown by the formula II in a ratio not less than six times the molar quantity of hexachlorotriphosphazene, to give a compound shown by the formula I. The reaction is carried out in an alkaline medium at 30W120°C. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
