titleOfInvention Granulocyte-separating material and granvlocyte collector
abstract PURPOSE: A granulocyte-separating material and a device for collecting granulocytes that are made by supporting a specific compound on a carrier, thus readily separating granulocytes from cell-floating fluid such as blood or humor in high yield. n CONSTITUTION: A fatty acid derivative from a 10W22C fatty acid such as monoglyceride of oleic acid is supported on a carrier such polyester fiber of 3 denier filament to prepare the granulocyte-separating material. A vessel 2 provided with blood inlet and outlet 7 is filled with the granulocyte-separating material 1 to make the device for collecting granulocyte. Recently, granulocyte transfusion is positively applied to agranulocyte, various kinds of leukoses, infectious diseases accompanied with hypoplastic anemia and hypogranulocytosis caused by administration of an antitumor agent or by irradiation with radioactive rays, however, the separation of granulocytes by adsorption and desorption with fibers is low in the yield of granulocytes, because of too high adhesion of granulocytes to the surface of fibers. The coating of fibers with a fatty acid derivative lowers the adhesion to increase the yield. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
