titleOfInvention Flame-retardant vinyl chloride resin composition
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the titled composition at low cost for forming a molded article having improved after grow properties even in using a large amount of a filler, by blending a specific flame-retardant with a specified Mg compound. n CONSTITUTION: 100pts.wt. Vinyl chloride type resin is blended with 10W60pts.wt. compound selected from MgO, Mg(OH) 2 , and MgCO 3 , 3W50pts.wt. antimony oxide, aluminum hydroxide, trialkyl phosphate, triaryl phosphate, alkaryl phosphate, or a compound obtained by combining these compounds with a halogenated paraffin, as a flame-retardant, 100W1,000pts.wt. filler of powder of metal having a specific gravity not less than 3.0, oxide of the metal, sulfate or carbonate (but not MgCO 3 ) of the metal, and 40W200pts.wt. plasticizer. The addition of a small amont of the flame-retardant and the Mg compound showns improved flame retardancy by their synergistic effect and processing characteristics and mechanial strength of molded article will not decrease. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
