abstract | PURPOSE: To eliminate the interfering substance in a specimen, by separating the substrate or enzyme which reacts with the objective component and the coupler of oxidative condensation reaction from 4-aminoantipyrine and peroxidase, and carrying out the determination by redox reaction. n CONSTITUTION: In the colorimetric determination of the objective component by the oxidative condensation 4-aminoantipyrine, a specific coupler, and hydrogen peroxide produce by redox reaction, in the presence of peroxidase, the reagent is divided into a component containing the coupler and a substrate or enzyme which reacts directly with the objective component and the second component containing 4-aminoantipyrine and peroxidase. The interfering substance in the specimen is removed by the latter reagent before determination.
