PURPOSE: The titled composition having light hairdressing feeling free from stickyness, comprising a specific cationic polymer as a main ingredient and a peptide having a specified molecular weight, decomposition product of hair, skin protein, etc. n CONSTITUTION: 0.1W5Wt% cyclic cationic group-containing polymer [e.g., diallyl guaternary ammonium homopolymer shown by the formula I (R 1 and R 2 are H or 1W18C alkyl; X - is anion residue; n is 10,000W1,000,000) is blended with 0.1W 5wt% peptide having a molecular weight 300W10,000, to give a preshampoo type hair treatment composition.
