titleOfInvention | Preparation of polyester fiber having high tenacity |
abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain the titled fiber, useful for industrial applications, etc. and having a high modulus, by melt spinning a polyester, having a specific intrinsic viscosity, consisting of ethylene terephthalate, and containing bisphenol type polycarbonate essentially, and drawing the resultant fiber under specificed conditions. n CONSTITUTION: A polyester, having an intrinsic viscosity of 0.55W0.70, and consisting of ethylene terephthalate as main repeating units, and containing 1W7wt% bisphenol type polycarbonate of polymerization degree ≥20 is melt mixed by a screw melt extruder, etc., extruded through a spinneret and melt spun into a fiber. The resultant fiber is then treated with an oil, taken off at a speed of 1,500m/min or less, preheated by heated feed rollers at 85W105°C and drawn by a noncontact slit heater, etc. provided between the feed rollers and draw rollers while being heat- treated at 200°C or above to give the aimed fiber. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio |
