PURPOSE: The titled composition stable to heat or light, which comprises a thermoplastic polymer other than a polyester, a polyoxyalkylene glycol (a deriv.) and a monovalent thallium cpd. n CONSTITUTION: A polyether composition is obtd. by the addition of 0.001W5.0wt% monovalent thallium cpd. (e.g., thallium chloride or acetate) as a Tl cpd. to a polyoxyalkylene glycol or a deriv. thereof (e.g., a polyethylene glycol or monophenoxy polyethylene glycol), followed by heat treatment in an inert gas atmosphere at 50W250°C for 1W30min.
