abstract | PURPOSE: To prepare a polybutadiene contg. high-melting 1,2-polyburadiene, by the polymn. of 1,3-butadiene in the presence of a specified catalyst. n CONSTITUTION: 1,3-Butadiene is polymerized in the presence of a catalyst consisting of (A) 1mol of a solvent-sol. Co cpd. (e.g., cobalt naphthenate), (B) 1W500mol of a dialkylaluminum halide or a mixt. with a trialkylaluminum contg. 90mol% or more dialkylaluminum halide and (C) 0.005W100mol of CS 2 or phenyl isothiocyanate, in a polymn. solvent, in an inert gas atmosphere at -20W80°C, to obtain a polybutadiene contg. 5W80% syndiotactic 1,2-structure, 10W90% cis-1,4 structure and the balance of atactic 1,2-structure. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio |
