titleOfInvention | Dispersant of pigment for coated paper |
abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain a pigment dispersant for coated paper of improved stability with time by compounding specific alkali-metal-contg. compounds with a copolymer consisting of α, β unsaturated monocarboxylic acids, a dicarboxylic acid and a styrene sulfonic acid. n CONSTITUTION: Salts of alkali compounds of ≥1 kinds of alkali-metal-contg. compounds and ammonia or salts of compounds of ≥1 kinds of Ca, Mg, Zn and Al and alkali compounds are compounded with the copolymer obtained by adding 0.5W233pts. a sodium styrene sulfonate to total 100 of 35W95pts.wt. α, β unsaturated monocarboxylic acids and 5W65pts. α, β unsaturated dicarboxylic acids, and these are allowed to react. This specific metallic compound is reacted up to maximum 70pts. based on 100pts. the copolymer. This yields the pigment dispersant which permits the pigment dispersion of high solid concn. with a small amount of use and is highly stable in dispersed material. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio |
