titleOfInvention Structure of skin material for foamed product
abstract PURPOSE:To stop the opening end of a skin material from sagging by its own weight and prevent a skin from falling by monolithically providing a projection having an elastic deformation recovering function at the opening edge part or inside the end part of the skin material and bringing the projection into contact with a core material. CONSTITUTION:A projection inwardly projecting, such as a rib 4c, is monolithically provided at the inside of the skin end 4b of a skin material 4 to be loaded into the cavity 3 in the lower mold 2. A core material 5 is loaded, and the rib 4c is brought into contact with it to make the rib 4c elastically deformed in order to push up the skin end 4b so that it is prevented from falling inwardly. The upper mold 1 is closed, and an urethane stock solution 6 is injected to complete foaming. During this, there is no possibility that the urethane stock solution 6 may pass around to the surface of the skin end 4b to leak. Accordingly, the urethane stock solution 6 bonds to the skin material 4 and the skin end 4b, maintaining the product configuration.
