titleOfInvention Production of pharmaceutical preparation of bencyclane fumarate
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the titled pharmaceutical preparation with its side effect extremely reduced, by blending bencyclane fumarate with cyclodextrin. n CONSTITUTION: Bencyclane fumarate [3-[(1-benzylcycloheptyl)oxy]-N,N-dimethylpropylamine fumarate] having anticonvulsive and vasodilating actions on the market is blended with cyclodextrin, preferably in water or a mixed solvent of water and a water-mixcible organic solvent (e.g., ethanol), to give a parmaceutical preparation of bencyclane fumarate. Bencyclane fumarate reduces stimulation, lowers the inhibiting action on its discharge from the stomach, increases stability in an acidic region by its inclusion in cyclodextrin, to improve the absorbing properties from the stomach and intestine. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
