abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a new type of impact-resistant thermoplastic resin composition which has excellent impact resistance as well as good dimensional accuracy, moldability, and wear resistance, by mixing a specified styrene copolymer composition with a polyamide. n CONSTITUTION: A styrenic copolymer composition, consisting of approx. 80W 98wt% styrenic compound and approx. 2W80wt% α,β-unsaturated carboxylic anhydride, is obtained by graft polymerization of 40W98wt% monomer mixture composed of a styrenic compound and an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic anhydride in the presence of 60W2wt% rubbery polymer, e.g., ethylene-propylene copolymer rubber, etc. And, 1W99pts.wt. said styrene copolymer composition is melt-mixed with 1W 99pts.wt. polyamide, e.g., polycaprolactam, etc., to obtain an objective resin composition. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
