| abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain a filter of higher performance and easy exchanging for removing an odious smell, NO 2 and CO by incorporating active carbon, an NO 2 removing agent and a CO oxidation catalyst into a high polymer nonwoven fabric. n CONSTITUTION: A shield plate 5 is mounted to the bottom of a cylindrical skeleton 4 made of metals or plastics, and a flat-platelike nonwoven farbric 3 is wound around the skeleton, whereby a filter layer is formed. Active carbon for removing an odious smell, an NO 2 removing agent consisting of kneaded molding of alkalis, powder active carbon and cement material, and a gas removing agent 1 constituted of the CO oxidation catalyst prepd. by carrying one or more kinds selected from the group of Pt, Ru, and Rh and Pd simultaneously or alone on the kneaded molding of alkalis, powder active carbon and cement material, is sandwiched into this nonwoven fabric 3. An exhaust gas having malodor and contg. CO and NO 2 is passed through this filter from its inlet 8 at ordinary temp. under humidifying, thence it is passed through the nonwoven fabric contg. removing agents, whereby the malodor is adsorbed, CO is oxidized to CO 2 and NO 2 is adsorbed as well, thus the gas is made pollution-free. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio |
