titleOfInvention Coating of insulator on electric part block
abstract PURPOSE:To simply expose a terminal of an electric part block by a mere contact of a solder iron with the terminal by coating a solder layer only on the surface of the terminal before coating an insulator thereon when coating the insulator on the block and then exposing the terminal forming the block. CONSTITUTION:An insulator blank is molded in a plate state to form a substrate 1, electric circuits, and electric parts 2 such as transistors, capacitors, resistors, etc. are mounted on the substrate 1, and are connected to a terminal 3 projected from the substrate 1 to form an electric part block 4. Then, only the terminal 3 of the block 4 is immersed in a solder tank to coat the terminal 3 with solder, the substrate 1 is immersed in vertical state in a fluidized immersion tank 6 filled with insulator 5 such as epoxy powder or the like while heating the entire substrate 1, and is then pulled up therefrom to coat the insulator 5 on the entire surface of the substrate 1. The insulator 5 is then removed from the terminal 3. In this configuration the solder can be molten merely by bringing a solder iron into contact with the terminal 3 to enable separation of the insulator 5 therefrom so as to simplify the exposure of the terminal 3.
