abstract NEW MATERIAL:The titled compound of formula I (X is O, S or its dioxide; R 1 is H or lower alkyl; R 2 is thiazolyl or thiazolinyl; R 3 is H or lower alkyl). n EXAMPLE: N-(2-Thiazolyl)-2-(2-picolylthio)propionamide. n USE: Drug having antiphlogistic, immune activating, and antitumor activities. n PROCESS: The compound of formula I is prepared by reacting an acetic acid derivative of formula II or its reactive derivative at the carboxyl group (e.g. chloride, active ester, etc.) with 2-aminothiazole of formula III or 2-aminothiazoline in the presence of an assistant such as dicyclohexylcarbodiimide, etc. in a solvent such as benzene, chloroform, etc. The reaction is carried out if necessary in the presence of a base such as an alkali metal or pyridine. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
