titleOfInvention Second solution for permanent wave treatment
abstract PURPOSE:The titled solution that contains an oxidizing agent, as a major component, and a water-soluble resin such as acrylamide or quaternized vinyl pyrrolidone resin, thus fixing long-lasting wave strongly and scarcely injuring hairs. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous bease agent containing an oxidizing agent such as a bromate salt as a major component is combined with a water-soluble resin selected from acrylamide, quaternized vinyl pyrrolidone and cationic cellulose resins to produce the second solution for permanent wave treatment. The resultant second solution does not hinder the reformation of disulfide bonds between keratin molecules by oxidation, fixes waves strongly, sustains them, but scarcely damages hairs. In amounts included in the solution, the water-soluble resin 0.1-3.0wt%, the oxidizing agent is 1-15wt% and the addition of 0.1-3.0wt% aminoacids or their salt enhances the effectiveness.
