titleOfInvention Production of decorative laminated sheet
abstract PURPOSE: To make a smooth surface of a decorative laminated sheet, by coating the sheet with a resin solution comprising a specified amount of a mixture of a unsaturated polyester resin with a diallyl phthalate prepolymer, the mixing ratio being defined, a specified amount of a copolymerizable monomer, a hardening catalyst and an organic solvent. n CONSTITUTION: 100pts.wt. mixture of an unsaturated polyester resin with a diallyl phthalate prepolymer, the mixing ratio being 1-9:9-1, is mixed with 0W20pts.wt. copolymerizable monomer, a hardening catalyst and an organic solvent. This resin solution is applied onto a wooden surface sheet (e.g. pinon veneer, straight grains cedar sheet, straight grain boxwood sheet, etc.) adhered onto a substrate (e.g. laminated veneer sheet, particle board, etc.). The resin-coated sheet is dried and hot-pressed to form a decorative wooden sheet having a smooth surface with apparent profundity. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
