abstract PURPOSE: To prepare a coating composition having sufficiently long pot life even by adding an acid catalyst in high concentration, by adding an acid catalyst and primary alcohol, etc. to a mixture of an OH-containing polymer and hexamethoxy- methylol melamine. n CONSTITUTION: The objective composition is prepared by mixing (A) 40W80wt% of a mixture of an OH-containing polymer such as acrylic polyol and hexamethoxymethylol melamine, (B) 1W4wt% of an acid catalyst such a p-toluenesulfonic acid, (C) 2W16wt% of a primary alcohol such as methanol, and if necessary, (D) 0W 57wt% of an organic solvent other than primary alcohol, e.g. toluene. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
