titleOfInvention | Multistage type exchange reaction tower |
abstract | PURPOSE:To transfer deuterium in hydrogen to water, in carrying out exchange reaction, by a method wherein water is sprayed and a plurality of means for passing the formed mist like water and hydrogen through a catalyst layer in a concurrent downward flow are stacked. CONSTITUTION:In transfer of deuterium in hydrogen to water, water is supplied from a tower top and hydrogen from a tower bottom and said water is flowed downwardly onto a partition plate through a flooding pipe 4. To an ejector part 3, a nozzle 8 appropriately throttled so as to pass hydrogen and water vapor at a high speed is provided to promote the mixing of water and a hydrogen gas and, thereby, water is converted to mists. Water, hydrogen and water vapor are concurrently directed upwardly in a guide cylinder 6 and impinged to a flow passage deflector plate 7 to be reversed and passed through the catalyst layer 2 from an upper part to a lower part thereof. During this time, the exchange reaction is generated between hydrogen and water vapor as well as water vapor and water. Water with a large particle size is fallen onto the partition plate 5 and hydrogen, water vapor and mist like water are raised through a gap 9 and directed to an ejector part of the partition plate 5 of an upper stage. By repeating the above described process, deuterium is effectively transferred to water. |
