abstract NEW MATERIAL:A disulfide compound of formula I (Q is methylene or S; R is H or acetyl; A is 2W3C akylene), and its salts. n EXAMPLE: (4R, 4'R)-3,3'-[3, 3'-Dithiobis(propanoyl)] bis [2-(2-hydroxyphenyl)-4- thiazolidine-carboxylic acid]. n USE: A hypotensive agent, keeping its effect for a longer term than S-acyl derivatives, without decreasing potency and giving of stench, by he decomposition through formulation processes or with time. n PREPARATION: The compound of formula II is oxidized with air, iodine, ferric chloride, hydrogen peroxide, etc., to obtain the compound of formula I (R=H).
