abstract PURPOSE: To make it possible to control relative humidity to be given to specimens at temperatures below or above 100°C, by integrating No.1 tank, which contains specimens, No.2 tank, which contains water, and a pipe, which shuts off heat transfer between the two tanks but links them. n CONSTITUTION: Heat insulating material 6 is provided between upper and lower constant-temperature tanks 4 and 5. No.1 tank 1 is placed in upper tank 4 and No.2 tank 2 in lower tank 5. Pipe 3 links both tanks 4 and 5 and connects tanks 1 and 2 via heat insulating material 6. Heat insulating material 6 prevents heat transfer between both tanks 4 and 5 and also prevents heat transfer inside and outside of pipe 3. Metal net 8 is provided inside tank 1, on which specimens are mounted. Tank 2 is filled with water W enough for both tanks 1 and 2 to hold saturated steam pressure. By this, it is possible to perform steam pressure test by giving an arbitrary relative humidity to specimen M not only at temperatures below 100°C but above it. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
