titleOfInvention Production of compound eye lens device
abstract PURPOSE:To readily produce the compound eye lens device by using a plurality of bar lenses, curable resins and lens support in the lens used for the projection system of the copying machine. CONSTITUTION:A lens support 113 which is formed of a metal plate of aluminum or the like, is hollow and is opened with through-holes of nearly bar-lens diameter in the lens disposition positions on the top and bottom surfaces, a plurality of rather long bar lenses 119 composed of acrylic resins, epoxy resins, polycarbonate or styrene and curable resin 118 of acrylic or epoxy mixed with black pigments or dyes are prepared. A plurality of the bar lenses 119 are then inserted into the lens support 113 and are arrayed in the specified direction, after which the curable resin 118 is packed in the spacings of the lens support 113 to integrate these, thence the integral unit is compression-molded by the upper and lower dies 120, 120' having the concave spherical face groups of the specified curvatures, whereby the bar lens end faces are formed on the top and bottom surfaces of the bar lenses 119.
