titleOfInvention | Glass fiber sizing composition |
abstract | PURPOSE: To provide a glass fiber sizing composition having high bundling property for glass fiber strands by allowing a sizing composition for glass fiber for polyamide resin reinforcement to contain specific urethane oligomer. n CONSTITUTION: This composition is used for glass fibers to be reiforced by plyamide based resin which essentially consists of a binder component, an organic sliane coupling agent (e.g. γ-glycidoxypropyltrimethoxy silane), and a cationic lubricator (e.g. palargonic acid triethylenetetramine). As the binder, about 2W20 wt% of the following oligomer is included in the composition. The oligomer consisting of di- or polyol unit (A) and di- or polyisocyanate unit (B), and having an end group represented by the formula at the ends of all chains. (A) unit, e.g., ethylene glycol, and (B) unit, e.g., tetramethylenediisocyanate are used in a preferable molar ratio of A:B=3:4, 2:3, or 1:2. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio |
