titleOfInvention Rubber-based adhesive composition
abstract PURPOSE: To provide the title composition having excellent adhesivity, heat resistance, and storage stability, and not too short tack life, and composed of a rubber and a specific chelate resin. n CONSTITUTION: A phenolic resin having a softening point of 70W100°C is prepared by (1) reacting 1 mole of alkyl- or arylphenol with ≥1 mole of an aldehyde in the presence of 0.01W0.5 mole of an alkaline potassium compound such as KOH, potassium tert-butoxide, etc., at 50W100°C, (2) adjusting the pH of the reaction product within 1W6 by adding an acid thereto, and (3) heating the mixture at 80W 250°C for 5 minutes to 15 hours to carry out the condensation reaction. 100 Parts by weight of the phenolic resin thus obtained is dissolved in 100W400 parts by weight of a solvent, and reacted with 5W20 parts by weight of a metal oxide such as MgO and CaO, and 0.1W5 parts by weight of water, at 25W70°C for 3W20 hours to obtain a chelate resin. 40W100 Parts by weight of the chelate resin and 100 parts by weight of a rubber are dissolved in an organic solvent. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
