| abstract | PURPOSE: To stabilize the quality of water when a valve for water supply is changed from stop to supply and to prolong the life of filter by preventing the growth of microorganism in water by providing ultraviolet ray sterilization lamps within a filter housing. n CONSTITUTION: Ultraviolet ray sterilization lamp assemblies 5 are vertically fixed to the partition plate 3a of the lid part 3 of a vessel on the circumference of tubular membrane filters 4 arranged within a housing vessel 1. Pure water is passed through an inlet nozzle 10 and flows from the outer side of membrane filters 4 into an inner tube. The water is filtered and simultaneously collected, and is obtained through an outlet nozzle 11 as filtered pure water. The pure water is sterilized by ultraviolet ray before water is passed through the filters 4. Since the surfaces of the filters 4 are always irradiated with ultraviolet ray, the growth of microorganism in water is prevented on the surfaces of the filters 4 and within the housing 1. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio |
