titleOfInvention Treatment of waste water by combined use of ozone and ionizing radiation treatment
abstract PURPOSE: To remove completely total organic carbons in waste water by a very low radiation dose by irradiating ionizing radiation to waste water while injecting ozone- containing oxygen or air into the waste water. n CONSTITUTION: An ionizing radiation is irradiated onto an industrial or household waste water containing as contaminants organics, ammonia, and hydrogen sulfide, while injecting ozone-containing oxygen or air into the waste water so as to dissolve ozone in the waste water. The prerferred ionizing radiation used includes Co-60 or Cs-135 γ-rays from electron accelerator from a point of view of economy. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
