titleOfInvention Wet molding
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a molded article having permeability due to fine open pores, by cooling and coagulating a solution of a resin consisting mainly of polyurethane in an organic solvent poured into a mold with a nonsolvent or poor one at a high temperature, and by extracting the solvent. n CONSTITUTION: A resin consisting mainly of polyurethane is dissolved in an organic solvent, e.g. N,N-dimethyl-formamide, and heated, then poured into a mold with a non-solvent or poor one while in a solution state. The solution is cooled to about normal temperature, coagulated, and released from the mold. The remaining solvent is extracted with a bath of water or an organic non-solvent, and dried to give a wet-molded article having a dense cellular structure free from strains or deformation. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
