abstract PURPOSE: To prepare the title coating composition giving a coating film having excellent peeling-resistance, film-forming characteristics, water-resistance, etc. by a single coating procedure, and suitable for the water-proofing coating of a building material, by compounding a specific acrylic resin composition with a water-based synthetic resin emulsion. n CONSTITUTION: The title composition is prepared by mixing (A) 100 parts by weight of an acrylic resin composed of (a) 100 parts by weight of a water-soluble acrylic resin having an acid value of 30W100, a hydroxy value of 40W100, and a molecular weight of 10,000W30,000, (b) 10W250 parts of colloidal silica having particle diameters of 7W10mμ, and (c) 1W10 parts of a coordination compound of a metal such as Ti or Zr, pref. a compound of formula (M is Ti or Zr; at least two of R 1W4 are 1W18C alkoxy, etc. and the other are 1W6C alkyl, etc.), and (B) 10W200 parts, pref. 50W100 parts of a water-based synthetic resin (pref. acrylic resin) emulsion having compatibility with the acrylic resin composition and good film-forming characteristics. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
