titleOfInvention Phenethylamine derivative
abstract NEW MATERIAL:A phenethylamine derivative of formula I: (R is methyl or 2- methylthioethyl group). n EXAMPLE: N-(N-Acetylalanyl)-3,4-diethoxy-carboxyphenethylamine. n USE: Remedies for renal hypertension and congestive heart diseases, which are chemically stable and absorbed from digestive canals well, and change into dopamine gradually, without effect of rapid metabolic degradation, and affecting blood pressure and heart rates, capable of producing a prolonged effect of increasing renal blood flows even in a small dose. n PROCESS: 3,4-Diethoxycarboxyphenethylamine or its acid addition salt in a suitable solvent is reacted with a N-acetylamino acid or its reactive derivative of formula II in the presence of a dehydrating agent, and, if necessary, a base, at room temperature or under cooling to give the objective compound of formula I in high yield. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
