titleOfInvention | Preparation of active vitamin d3 or its oh-protected derivative and/or its corresponding previtamin d3 or its oh-protected derivative |
abstract | PURPOSE: To prepare an active vitamin D 3 useful for the regulation of Ca-metabolism of warm-blooded animals, its derivative, or its intermediate, economically, in high yield, by irradiating a precursor of the active vitamin D 3 with UV radiation under specific optimum condictions. n CONSTITUTION: 1α,3β-Dihydroxycholesta-5,7-diene derivative which is a precursor of active vitamin D 3 , or its OH-protected derivative is irradiated with UV-radiation to obtain a previtamin D 3 or its OH-protected derivative (the 9,10 single bond of the starting material is cleaved). A specific amount of the previtamin D 3 or active vitamin D 3 obtained by the thermal isomerization of the previtamin D 3 is accumulated in the reaction system. The title compound is separated from the system, and the unreacted precursor is recycled as the precursor to be irradiated with UV radiation. The amount of accumulation of the previtamin D 3 , etc. in the system is 0.03W 0.4 parts by weight per 1 part of the unreacted precursor existing in the system. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio |
