titleOfInvention Water vane and waterwheel provided with such water vane
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain an efficient waterwheel, by the structure such that the center of a water vane is made as its fulcrum or central supporting point, its lower half is made heavier than its upper half, and such water vanes are fixed to a waterwheel in such a manner that they can move back and forth or rotate freely. n CONSTITUTION: The center of water vane 1' is made its fulcrum or central supporting point, and here is provided pipe 3' for inserting a supporting rod, for example. In this case, the specific gravity of the lower half of water vane 1' is made larger than that of the upper half, or the upper half is fitted with a floating body, such as foam styrol 4. Many of such water vanes 6W11 are fixed to a waterwheel in such a manner that they can move back and forth or rotate freely. By this, since an equal water pressure is applied to the upper and the lower half of the vane when it enters the water, it is possible to obtain an efficient waterwheel. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
