abstract PURPOSE: To prepare a fire-resisting paint for electrical wire and cable containing specific amounts of a self-crosslinking acrylic resin, a halogen compound, a boric acid salt, an inorganic filler, and non-combustible fiber. n CONSTITUTION: A paint composition composed mainly of (A) 9.5W23wt% of a self-crosslinking acrylic resin, (B) 0.5W10wt% of a halogen compound such as decabromodiphenyloxide, (C) 3W10wt% of a boric acid salt such as zinc borate, (D) 19W40wt% of an inorganic filler such as calcium carbonate, and (E) 0.3W 6.5wt% of non-combustible fiber such as asbestos fiber. n EFFECT: High film strength and free from cracking even at a high temperature. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
