abstract PURPOSE: To provide a fire-resisting paint for electrical wire, having excellent high temperature stability and keeping the high fire-resistance for a long period, and composed mainly of specific amounts of a self-crosslinking acrylic emulsion, a halogen compound and an inorganic filler. n CONSTITUTION: A paint composition composed mainly of (A) 6W25 parts by weight (solid basis) of a self-crosslinking acrylic emulsion, (B) 0.5W10 parts of a halogen compound such as decabromodiphenyl oxide, and (C) 25W50 parts of an inorganic filler such as calcium carbonate. n EFFECT: High film strength even at a high temperature.
