titleOfInvention Polyester fiber for reinforcing rubber
abstract PURPOSE: Title fiber mainly consisting of PET in which a high-stiffness aromatic diamine is added at the beginning stage of melt polycondensation to give a modified polyester that forms fibers with increased Young's modulus. n CONSTITUTION: At the beginning stage of melt polycondensation of polyethylene terephthalate or a polyester mainly containing the same, 0.5W20wt%, based on the polyester, of compound A, compounds A and B or their reaction product (salt or oligomers) is added and the polycondensation is performed. Then, the resulting polyester is made into fibers. The compound A is H 2 N-X-NH 2 , piperazine or their substituted derivative and the compound B is HOOC-Y-COOH or its substituted derivative (X, Y are 1,4-phenylene, 2,6-naphthylene, 2,6-anthrylene or organic radical containing the same). n COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
